An Invitation   Say to the Israelites, Yahweh, the God of your fathers- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob- has sent me to you. This is my name forever the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation Exodus 3:15 When God revealed himself to Moses, He told Moses the name by which He was to be called, Yahweh (YHWH). YHWH said this was His name forever, not God or Lord but YHWH. Here at The Way of The Messiah, out of love, we use His Holy name and invite you to learn more about it. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name Y’shua. Luke 1:31 It might surprise many to learn that the letter J has only been around a few hundred years and doesn’t exist in the Hebrew language, so his name could not be Jesus. When Y’shua walked the earth he was called by the Hebrew name Y’shua. Y’shua means YHWH saves. Y’shua is the name given Him by His Father. And why do you break the command of Yahweh for the sake of your tradition? Matthew 15-3 What are the traditions of men that Y’shua spoke of? Why did they anger Him? Have you unknowingly substituted a tradition for Yahweh’s will?   I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you. Luke 7:27 Before the first coming of Y’shua a messenger was sent to prepare the way. At The Way of The Messiah we believe Yahweh is equipping messengers to call His people back into obedience and prepare the way for His return.    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Yahweh. He was with Yahweh in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. John 1:1-2, 14 What is the Word of Yahweh and how did it become Flesh? The Word of Yahweh is His Torah, Y’shua is the living Torah.    I am the way and the truth and the light. John 14:6 First century believers did not call themselves Christians. This is a name given to them by their adversaries. The called themselves The Way, and they followed the Way of The Messiah.  If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. John 14:23 What are His teachings? Do we really know. If not then how can we obey?  Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate that lead to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14 The narrow gate leads to life not the wide road. How does this compare with the simple sinners prayer most of us were taught? Watch out that no one deceives you. Matthew24:4  If it weren’t possible for a Believer to be deceived then why did He give us this warning? In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:2 In Jewish tradition when a women accepted a marriage proposal the groom would then return to his parents home where he lived. He would then add on to the family home. It might be anything from a new room to an entire wing,  depending on finances. He was preparing a place for his bride. Y’shua left to return and prepare a place for His bride.  Prepare the way for the Yahweh, make straight paths for him. Luke 3:4  Are you helping to prepare the way for the return of the Messiah, straightening the paths? In the last days, Yahweh says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughter will prophesy your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts2:17 We are seeing this prophesy being fulfilled with the revival that is sweeping the world.   The women fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1260 days. Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring, those who obey Yahweh’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 12:6, 17 From this passage we can see that some of Yahweh’s people will be kept safe in the coming Tribulation while others will not. Which group do you belong to? But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. Acts 1:8  Have you received the gift of the Holy Spirit?
